Engineer-led energy and electrical work for safer, smarter properties.
EcoGrid is a Glasgow-based team of qualified electricians and renewables engineers. We design, install, test and improve solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and electrical systems for homeowners, landlords and businesses across Scotland. Every recommendation starts with the property, its electrics and the outcome you actually need.

Everything needed to design, install and look after your energy system.
Our services work together: generation, storage, charging, testing, compliance and electrical infrastructure. That means fewer gaps, fewer assumptions and better long-term outcomes.
Solar PV
Solar systems designed around your roof, electrical infrastructure and real energy use.
Battery storage
Batteries sized to improve self-consumption and give you more control over generated energy.
EV charging
Domestic and workplace chargers, with proper electrical assessment and load consideration.
Electrical services
Upgrades, fault finding, remedials, EICR testing and new installations from competent engineers.
Clear advice before decisions are made.
Not every property needs the same solution. Some need solar and battery. Some need an EV charger with load considerations. Some need testing or an electrical upgrade before renewable technology is the right next step.
Engineer-first advice
We explain the trade-offs clearly and recommend the route that fits your property, not the package that is easiest to sell.
- Safety and compliance first
- Long-term performance over quick wins
- No pressure, no hard selling
Testing and compliance
Inspection and testing to help confirm systems are safe, compliant and fit for purpose, with clear findings and practical next steps.
- EICR testing
- EIC and Minor Works
- Compliance-led reporting
Maintenance and aftercare
Assessment and optimisation for existing solar, battery and electrical systems that need better performance or reliability.
- Performance checks
- Fault diagnosis
- System optimisation
A diagnostic-first process that reduces risk before work begins.
The right service depends on the property, infrastructure and outcome. We keep the process clear so you know what is happening and why.
Understand
We review your goals, property, current installation and usage patterns.
Assess
We identify electrical constraints, compliance needs and practical options.
Design
We recommend a clear route based on safety, performance and value.
Deliver
We install, test, certify and hand over the work with clear guidance.
If it won't save you money, we won't recommend it.
That includes telling you when a battery isn't worth it yet, or when a smaller array is the better design. We design systems around people, not packages.
- Clear advice before work begins
- Every assumption written down
- Testing and certification where required
- Neat, tidy installation
- Handover documents and guidance
Qualified electricians and designers.
Solar and batteries are part of your electrical installation, so the people doing the work should understand the whole system.
City & Guilds qualified
Electricians and designers qualified in electrical design, testing and inspection.
BPEC trained
Renewables installers trained in solar PV and battery installation.
One joined-up team
Renewable and electrical work handled together, so nothing falls between trades.
Common questions about EcoGrid.
Do you handle both renewable and electrical work?
Yes. We work across renewable technology and electrical infrastructure, which helps ensure systems are designed, installed, tested and integrated properly.
Are you MCS certified?
We are working towards MCS and NAPIT approval. We will only say we hold them once they are in place, and we will always tell you what that means for things like export payments.
Can you upgrade an existing system?
Yes. We can assess existing solar, battery and electrical systems, diagnose faults or underperformance, and recommend remedials, upgrades or optimisation.
Do you work across Scotland?
We are based in Glasgow and support homeowners, landlords and businesses across Scotland, with wider UK availability depending on project scope.
